Antonio and Cindy were two strangers living in different countries when they first connected online back in 2007. Despite their distance, there was an instant connection between them that neither could deny. After months of long-distance dating, Cindy decided to take a leap of faith and move from Vancouver BC, Canada to East Providence, Rhode Island so she could be closer to her soulmate.

The couple soon found themselves married and seven years later, they excitedly announced their first pregnancy and made sure to capture it through professional maternity photos taken by Antonio.

The beautiful images served as reminders of that special moment in time when life was transitioning from one stage to another—from just the two of them being newlyweds without children to expecting parents who would soon welcome a precious bundle named Melody into their lives shortly after.

Fast forward seven years later and the couple was again excitedly awaiting the arrival of their second child, Aria, when suddenly something changed for Cindy; she didn't feel beautiful enough to take more pregnancy photos this time around. She felt self conscious about her body and so decided against it - it's been a regret she has lived with ever since.

But from this regret came a great idea: If more women could be encouraged to celebrate themselves during pregnancy rather than shy away from the camera, perhaps we can all share in these special moments together! So Antonio and Cindy created Motherly Portraits – Rhode Island’s premier studio dedicated to capturing women’s beauty during motherhood through photographs!
